Overlaying work is underway at the Imperial Road Overpass Bridge Construction Project.

Addis Ababa, September 28, 2016: Asphalt overlay work is being carried out on the Imperial Traffic Overpass Bridge road project, which is one of the traffic diversion bridge construction projects being built on the inner ring road.

Currently, the final level of asphalting of the approach roads to the drawbridge is underway, and the total physical performance of the project has reached 88.7 percent. Although the long rainy season that lasted from the fall of last year until the end of the winter season affected the road construction and maintenance activities in the city, it is remembered that the construction of the pedestrian bridge was completed and the road was opened for traffic before the main winter.

In the next few days, the rest of the project is being worked on to complete the asphalt paving, and the installation of roadside lighting and footpath work will continue. The Imperial Traffic Overpass Bridge construction project, including approach roads, is 1.8 kilometers long and 40 meters wide, and a budget of more than 714.8 million birr has been budgeted for its construction. The project is being built by China First Highway Engineering, and the consulting and supervision work is being jointly monitored by Stadia and G&Y Engineering.
